Residential Plumbing
We’ve dealt with garbage disposals that start acting up and toilets that won’t quite flush right. In fact, some of the most common plumbing issues to have in a home often come from the toilet, the tub or sink. These pesky faucets are prone to leaks and coming loose due to their heavy use in the common household. When your sinks are in disrepair and you need someone to fix it, you can count on us to get the job done right. At Certified Plumbing we are capable of installing or repairing any stuck, loose or otherwise finicky faucet.
Toilets
Toilets can be frustrating to deal with. There are so many different parts that can break or come loose, not to mention that it is the most commonly used item in your home. The flapper can become loose, for example. If you have a first generation flush toilet, it could just be a matter of time. If you take a look at the clay-stamped manufacturing date on the inside of your toilet’s tank, you may see a time period anywhere from 1994 to 1997. If you do, it’s only a matter of time until your flapper handles start to fail.
Now, you may also be experiencing a partial flush problem, where the water in the bowl will go down, and immediately some of the water comes back up, leaving you to flush it again and again. Nobody wants to stay in the bathroom that long – we just want to get our business done and get out.
Of course, then there are the always present problems such as the water in the bowl rising or lowering too much, the toilet ‘running’ or ‘whistling’ after it has been flushed, or even needing to jiggle the handle to make sure it flushes properly. Perhaps you just bought a brand new toilet and you want to have it installed by professionals, rather than having the local hardware store employees come out to do it. All of these problems can be solved with a quick call to your local plumbers at Certified Plumbing.
Bathtub Repair and Installation
When it comes to bathtubs, you always think about how to clean it, how to keep it aesthetically appealing, and how to keep it comfortable. Not much thought goes into the plumbing underneath your tub. At least, not until you start experiencing water backflow problems and unexplained clogging. These issues can be caused by a variety of things from unseen hair clogs further down the drain system to even a weak drain. Your tub may need re-piping or simple unclogging. Here at Certified Plumbing, we also handle bathtub installation. We know how to properly install your tub to ensure the least amount of inconvenience, troubles and problems down the line to make sure your bath is as comfortable as possible for years to come. Our plumbers will come out and properly fit your bath to the correct pipes, ensuring there are no damages, kinks or mistakes in the installation process.
Sinks and Showers
Sinks are a whole other monster to deal with if your bathroom or kitchen needs plumbing repairs. They’re also the most used plumbing appliance in your home seconded only by toilets. Whether it’s a bathroom sink, a kitchen sink or otherwise, there are several different parts that can break or start acting up, especially if the temperature drops.
Perhaps you’re experiencing low water pressure or the water stream is uneven. This is often caused by a faucet that has its inner workings torn or loose. In most cases, your troubles can be fixed with a simple installation of a new faucet. Installing a new faucet onto your sink or showerhead is an inevitable task. At some point, faucets weaken and loosen with use and need to be replaced. There’s no real solution to it other than having a plumber install a new one. Luckily, the plumbers at Certified Plumbing are handy with sinks as well, able to install as many new sink faucets in your home as your need.
Hot Water Tanks and Garbage Disposals
Whether you’re installing brand new or replacing an old one, the installation of tankless water heaters, or storage tank water heaters can be a daunting task that not many people handle today, at least, not for an inexpensive price. At Certified Plumbing we can handle the installation of either, and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg. It’s not common that water heaters require maintenance. When they begin to malfunction, they’re often better off being replaced. Repairs can be just as costly as a brand new water heater, and only last for a few weeks, if you’re lucky. A brand new hot water tank will solve your problem for a few years or more.
Garbage Disposals are a different matter, however. With food constantly going through it, it gets a lot of use. Common use and a lot of moving parts often means a need for maintenance and repairs. Over time, you may notice a sour food smell, build-ups of grease and fats or even motor failure. If your garbage disposal is making unusual noises, it could be a sign that a foreign object found its way to the drain, or some parts in the garbage disposal are loose. There are lots of different parts of a garbage disposal capable of causing injury, so it’s best to have a plumber look at the issue. Handling a garbage disposal without proper tools or training can be a dangerous job. We can fix just about any problem your garbage disposal has, and install a brand new one for you when the time comes.
